UK funding system for startups "appallingly bad"

The UK has been described as having an "appallingly bad" funding system for startup businesses. Speaking to the BBC, Neil Woodford, head of Woodford Investment Management, said "The limited number of success stories here in the UK have generally sold out early," adding that investors in startups are requiring the money to be returned far too quickly, putting undue pressure on cashflow.
